Being the first national park in England, the nature lovers might get to see barn owls, foxes, woodpeckers, sparrows, hares, and horses in their natural habitat. It is also home to the Roaches rocks, a unique and fascinating rock formation overlooking the town of Leek. The Alton Towers amusement park is only 30 minutes to an hour from many of our Party Houses and is a perfect day trip especially for the young ones and for those young at heart. There are also several museums in the area such as Bakewell Old House Museum, Eyam Plague Village Museum, Buxton Museum, Art Gallery, and National Trust Museum of Childhood.
