*Please note, it is only possible to book at maximum capacity on request, as Hayloft, Byre and Granary are not available for individual hire but can be added when renting the rest of the barn.
*The capacity of the Victoria Barn alone is a maximum of 55, but this can be increased when booking The Victorian Barn together with two additional buildings on the property- Jasmine and Plumtree. By adding these two, the maximum capacity is increased to a total of 68 guests.
*Should you require additional space, the whole of the estate sleeps up to 94 guests between 38 bedrooms between the various properties on the estate, which can be arranged on request.
The Venue
Set on a 65-acre farm in rural Dorset, gazing out at the countryside with views of Bulbarrow Hill, The Victorian Barn is a collection of family-friendly Dorset holiday houses, with an endless list of things to do. Originally a cattle barn that was built in 1849, this unique group accommodation was converted in 2009 into 7 adjoining houses that form part of The Victorian Barn Estate. Around it, a number of smaller buildings serve as additional accommodations, making this an ideal venue for large events that require a number of different accommodation arrangements.
The Victorian Barn itself is made up of a collection of 7 adjoining Dorset holiday cottages, built around a large function hall named the Osborne Hall. The accommodations include Beatrice (sleeps 10), Victoria & Albert (sleeps 14-16), Helena (sleeps 8), Leopold (sleeps 8), Byre (sleeps 4), Hayloft (sleeps 4) and Granary (sleeps 5). When rented simultaneously, the barn can sleep a total of 53-55 guests. There is also the option of renting only a few of these adjoining Dorset holiday cottages, according to the needs of your group. Please be advised that while Byre, Hayloft and Granary form part of the barn, but do not link directly to the Osborne Hall.
The Osborne Hall is a beautifully lit function hall with skylights that fill the space with natural light. The hall is even a licensed wedding venue. The hall can also be used for corporate events, family reunions, or numerous other functions. The Victorian Barn is perfect for all manner of events, and is particularly well suited to families, with a play area and all manner of entertainment for guests of all ages.
