Reception rooms & kitchen:

At Sparrow House, you’ll find a collection of functional, well-equipped kitchens. The kitchen in the main house of this lovely cottage in Oxfordshire is attached to a stunning orangery with dining space for 12 guests, there is also a portable table to seat a further 8 more guests upon request at booking. The kitchen island, with two bar stools, provides further seating for an additional 2 guests. Equipped with everything you might need, the kitchen comes with everything from a wine fridge and coffee machine, to an impressive, 5-plate stove. This makes it an ideal space to cook for a large number of guests. With the dining room and kitchen being so spaciously connected, this truly is a wonderful space for entertaining. Connecting to the kitchen and dining room, we find a cosy, comfortable living room, with a couple of cosy armchairs facing the log burner. Adjacent to these is a cosy lounge area, with a plush sofa that serves as a lovely place for relaxing after a tasty meal. 

The other two buildings on the property follow a similar layout, each with their own stunning, open-plan kitchen, dining and living area. Each building follows similar styling and aesthetic choices, though they maintain their individuality through slightly varied features. The kitchens and living spaces make this place particularly well suited to groups of families travelling together. There is ample space for guests to come together, as well as the option for guests to take some downtime in separate spaces in between group activities. These options work well for groups with different schedules, as those who stay up late can share space, while early risers can have a space of their own, without worrying about waking anyone up with a 5 AM chat over a cup of tea. 

Bedrooms: 

All of the bedrooms at Sparrow House are bright and beautifully styled with peaceful blues and whites, perfect for a good night's sleep. Between the 3 properties, there are a total of 8 bedrooms, reaching a final number of 12 beds, as well as a sleeper couch for an additional 2 guests. All of the bedrooms are equipped with clean, functional drawers, and quaint bedside tables with lamps. One of the three properties, a loft situated above the garages, hosts a lovely double bed, with a contained kitchenette and en-suite bathroom. This room would be well suited to a couple, or individuals who prefer a little more privacy.

The second, medium-sided building has a total of two bedrooms, divided into a double room, and a twin loft with two single beds. One amazing feature of the twin room are its skylights, with a little ladder for peering out at the breathtaking views surrounding the house. The double room in this building is situated on the ground floor, underneath the twin room, while the living spaces feature exposed wooden beams and a wonderfully high, open ceiling. Finally, we find the remaining 5 bedrooms in the main house, divided into 1 single room, 1 twin, and 3 double rooms. The main house, therefore, sleeps a total of 9 guests.

Surrounding areas: 

A world of entertainment lies right outside your front door at this house to rent in Oxfordshire. The 1.5 areas of private woodland provide ample playing space for children and dogs. Additionally, the house is positioned right next to a golf course, so those who feel so inclined might enjoy a day on the course. Sparrow House is situated conveniently close to Henley on Thames, which is home a number of attractions. Some nearby sites worth visiting include Chiltern Valley Winery & Brewery, Grey’s Court, and the beautiful Thames Path, a tarred footpath which stretches along the River Thames. The flat path is also perfect for riding bicycles. 

Accessibility:

Another fantastic feature of this house to rent in Oxfordshire is that it has a downstairs bathroom and shower, making it suited to groups in need of accessible features. While most of the bedrooms are on the second floor, the ground floor room and bathroom should are accessible.
