There are some beautiful cathedral cities to visit in East Anglia such as Norwich, Cambridge, and Lincoln. All offer a wealth of historical buildings and history, a wide range of individual shops, plus museums and galleries. They also offer a wide range of restaurants and pubs to relax after all that sightseeing! For less well-visited places, do go to Ely for its cathedral, Saffron Walden for its galleries, hidden garden, and general charm, Bury St Edmonds for its heritage, Woodhall Spa for the Dambusters connections, or Colchester for its Roman history.
