Reception rooms:
The Opera House:
A Grade II listed opera house, constructed by famous Welsch opera singer, Adeline Patti. The theatre has been beautifully maintained and is used to host wedding ceremonies and other events to this day. The theatre is unbelievably grand, boasting incredible craftsmanship and attention to detail. The space exudes elegance, making this a truly unforgettable space for a wedding ceremony.
The conservatory:
The sun-kissed orangery is a most beautiful location for hosting wedding receptions and breakfasts. Offering ample space and an extensive terrace, this room provides gorgeous views of the country park. The conservatory is truly something special, offering a most unique atmosphere.
The Lounge:
One of the first spaces you'll find on entering the castle is the stunning lounge, the most central gathering point of the property. This space is perfect for hosting your drinks reception for your wedding and offers a grand yet cosy atmosphere that will have everyone feeling like royalty, and simultaneously right at home.
Function room:
Connecting to the lounge is the function room, the ideal setting to dance the night away with your fellow guests. Here, you can dance the night away, building memories that will last forever. When anyone needs a break from dancing, they can return to the lounge for a moment of relaxation.
Castle grounds:
Dreamstone Castle boasts expansive grounds, which offer the perfect romantic backdrop for your wedding. In addition to making for great photo opportunities, the castle grounds are a great place to adventure about. Between photo sessions and meaningful conversations, you will find plenty of hidden corners around the castle that you will love.
Country Park:
Dreamstone Castle is surrounded by a stunning country park of 40 acres. The park is managed by the Brecon Beacons National Park Authority and is considerably beautiful with plenty of beautiful walks and places to explore. The park also makes a fantastic backdrop for photographs, so be sure to factor this into your special day!
Accommodation:
Dreamstone Castle has been set up to accommodate wedding parties with up to 78 overnight guests in the castle itself. There is an additional building with affordable accommodation for a further 27 guests, bringing the total maximum capacity of overnight guests to 105. There are a few specific bedroom types, and the space can be arranged to suit your specific needs. In general, the capacity of each room ranges from 1-8 people. There are a number of adjoining rooms that make ideal family rooms, as well as more private rooms with double beds and en-suite bathrooms.

History & Owner Information
Dreamstone Castle is a historic Victorian-Gothic mansion located in the Brecon Beacons National Park in Powys, Wales. The castle has a rich history and was originally built in 1841 as a private residence for the Powell family. The house was eventually inherited by Captain Rhys Davies Powell's only surviving daughter in 1864, and in 1876 the house was sold to Morgan Morgan, who lived in the house with his family.
Not long after, in 1878, the castle was purchased by Adelina Patti, a renowned opera singer of the 19th century. Patti renovated and expanded the castle extensively, turning it into her own private estate. She also established an opera house within the castle grounds, where she entertained many notable guests and performed herself. The opera house is still used to this day for hosting wedding ceremonies and continues to insppirte impress anyone who sets foot inside it.
After Patti's death in 1919, the castle passed through various owners and underwent several transformations, serving as a hospital between 1922 and 1986. During a large portion of this time, the castle acted as a sanitarium for Tuberculosis and was among the first in the UK to receive the successful treatment for the disease, an antibiotic called streptomycin.
In the latter half of the 20th century, it was converted into a hotel, which it remains to this day. The castle is now a popular venue for weddings, events, and overnight stays, offering guests a glimpse into its fascinating history and stunning architecture.

Security Deposit: A £4,000 deposit (£2,000 upon booking and a remaining £2,000 within 8 months of booking) but must be paid within 6 months of the event date.
All wedding packages have a minimum number of overnight guests, starting with 50. There is a £2,000 deposit which contributes to the overall wedding balance. Accommodation for 50 guests is automatically confirmed upon booking but guests can pay independently for overnight accommodation once the booking is confirmed. If the minimum number of 50 guest do not attend, the additional accommodation fee of £75/person will be taken from the deposit.
